Hansel and Gretel (K Gordon Murray)

K Gordon Murray rip off (this film only runs 37 minutes) is the sort of thing that would make me scream rip off if I saw this in a theater as part of a double feature show.

Nominally the tale of Hansel and Gretel the film takes long side trips to deal with the the children's neighbor a nuty guy who make puppets. What this has to do with anything is beyond me, but it's little more than time killer for what would other wise be a fifteen minute movie. In all honesty it;s not until the final ten minutes that the story really focuses on the children.

Outside of the mostly real locations this film has little to recommend it since Murray's dubbing has effectively removed all sound other than an annoying narration. There are songs but based upon the opening credits which are played in German with a German song, the music is a new and horrifying addition to the mix.

I can't believe that people actually payed money to see this...or that I even payed a dollar for the DVD the film came on.

For bad movie lovers only who can beg borrow or steal a copy because if they pay for it they will have regrets for eternity.
