Pictures from the Opening Night of the 2013 New York Asian Film Festival
Here's a few photos from last nights on stage activities at the Walter Reade Theater.
Here's Grady as he leaves the stage before the showing of BEHIND THE CAMERA. I got him as he was leaving because I completely forgot that I had stowed my camera. He has the box with all the prize forms in it.
Grady Interviewing E J-Yong about BEHIND THE CAMERA
Film Comment editor Gavin Smith introduces Goran, Samuel, Rufus and Grady before the opening night film TALES FROM THE DARK PART 1
Goran, Rufus, Samuel and Grady - the faces of the The New York Asian Film Festival or as the pictures says these guys are New York Asian Film.
Everyone said a few words by way of introduction. Here it appears that Rufus is rapping or blaming Goran for something (actually he was talking about the use of spread sheets to make sure all the films arrived on time)
Gavin and Grady appear to be trying to come to terms about something
Like the Spanish Inquisition there are somethings people just don't expect - Photographic proof that some films don't die- Here Grady is giving away more copies of Hong Kong Godfathers as the audience half laughs and half groans.
